以目前学术界关于英语专业教学发展"危机"的争论为出发点,梳理学术争鸣的5篇文献,回顾改革开放40年来英语专业由语言技能型人才培养到复合型人才培养,再到当前英语专业教学发展困境的历程,指出人文型与复合型的争论即为普通教育与职业教育的争论,职业院校英语专业与职业教育相结合,在服务职业教育国际化过程中扮演着重要角色,这对当前英语专业教学发展具有启示意义,即人文型与复合型都为社会发展所需,不同类型的院校需制定符合自身特色的英语专业人才培养模式。
Abstract:Five papers are reviewed based on the current debates on the English major teaching development in the academic world. From the Reform and Opening-up 40 years ago,the English major has gone through the mechanism of language skill training,integrated talent education and the dilemma of the current English major teaching development.The debate between humanism and integration is just the debate between general education and vocational one. Integrating with vocational education,the English major in vocational institutes plays an important role in the internationalization of vocational education,which drops some hints to the development of English major teaching,i.e. both humanism and integration are what the society needs,and different institutes should design the English major talent education model that suits their own characteristics.
