A detailed description of recent rapid development of Ethiopia, one of the biggest African countries, in the fields of technical and vocational education & training (TVET) is given. Especially it has achieved greatly in the scale of school-running, discipline set-up, teaching quality and management. This mades TVET step into the new era of rapid development. Hence, TVET contributes a lot to the social economic development of Ethiopia. It points out the present drawbacks of TVET development in Ethiopia, and makes some relevant suggestions in the area of future development.
