对基于Mach-Zehnder(MZ)干涉型LiNbO3调制器的工作原理和各种光码型产生方案进行了分析,比较了几种目前DWDM光通信系统中常见的解决方案。理论分析表明,保持偏置工作点的稳定是产生NRZ、RZ以及CS-RZ码的关键。因此,提出了一种利用低频外调制的方法实现调制器工作稳定以及码型程控可调的方案。
Abstract:The principles of LiNbO3 modulator based on Mach-Zehnder interferometer and several schemes of optical codes generation are analyzed.And then,some typical solutions in DWDM optical communication system at present are compared.Thetheoretical analysis shows that maintenance of bias work point is the key to generate NRZ,RZ and CS-RZ codes;accordingly,a new solution is proposed to ensure stabilization of the modulator with method of low frequency external modulation,meanwhilethe optical codes can be tunable in this scheme.
