埃塞俄比亚孔子学院在过去10年取得了长足的发展,形成了自己的办学特色,但其在发展过程中也面临着一些问题和挑战,如孔子学院/课堂数量较少,教学点覆盖面不广;教师和教学设施不足;高年级学生流失情况严重;教材适用性不强,本土化教材研发不足等。通过对孔子学院进行实地调研,提出了加强顶层设计,走内涵式发展之路;加强师资队伍建设,引导教师的职业发展;改革教学内容和方法,提高教学质量;开发本土教材,培养本土汉语教师;与中资企业及相关单位深度合作,培养职业技能人才等应对措施。旨在为埃塞俄比亚孔子学院的可持续健康发展提供借鉴。
Abstract:Confucius Institutes in Ethiopia have made great progress in the past decade and have formed its characteristics. However,they are also faced with some problems and challenges in the development process. For instance,the number of Confucius Institutes and Confucius classrooms is small; the coverage of them is limited; teachers and teaching facilities are inadequate; too many senior students drop out of school; textbooks are not localized and R&D investment is not enough in developing localized textbooks. Through field surveys of Confucius Institutes,the measures in dealing with the above problems might be: strengthening the educational policies and studying the inherent nature of education; training the teaching staff and offering them suggestions in their professional developments,reforming the teaching content and methods,improving the quality of teaching,developing localized teaching materials,training local Chinese language teachers,conducing in-depth cooperation with Chinese enterprises and other organizations,and training students with professional skills. It′s hoped that this study contributes to sustainable and healthy development of the Confucius Institutes in Ethiopia.
